REPORT: PerfectPitch 2009 Winner didn't get funding?

Just got this tip:

Subject: Fwd: Note from PerfectPitch 2009 Winner
To: Jason Calacanis

Jason,
I thought you might find this interesting (if you haven't already heard.) The "winner" of Richard Branson's Perfect Pitch conference DIDN'T get funded. How is that for winning? Here's a conference that charged people hundreds of dollars to attend and the "winner" didn't even get funding. What a crock. This just reinforced my reasons for NOT participating.

Warm Regards,

 The Perfect Pitch 2009
Letter from The Perfect Pitch winner

Wow! What an amazing conference!

On behalf of the entire Didrick Medical team, I want to thank you for your attendance and support at the 2009 Perfect Pitch Conference. We are honored to be the recipient of this year's Perfect Pitch Award.

Since we left Marina del Rey, we've been fast at work implementing some of the ideas and suggestions we heard at the conference. In fact, Didrick Medical is proud to announce the launch of the World Hand Foundation, which seeks to increase access to prosthetic hand devices in countries and cultures with populations that may not have the financial resources to devote to prostheses. As the lead sponsor for the foundation, Didrick Medical will commit a portion of sales of each X-Finger® to the World Hand Foundation. At Didrick, we believe that our humanitarian efforts can truly make a difference worldwide.

As a reminder, Didrick Medical and the World Hand Foundation are seeking funding for worldwide expansion. If you are interested in funding either organization, please contact Matthew Simmons, chief operating officer at Didrick Medical, at 877-343-7425 or matt@didrickmedical.com.

In the meantime, please accept again our most sincere thanks for this prestigious recognition. Best wishes to you in your future endeavors.

Sincerely,

Dan Didrick
Chief Executive Officer
Didrick Medical, Inc.
