It is safe. We do it in Colorado all the time. I live in Vail and it is fine. :-)

Props are no less safe than jets. Most accidents happen during takeoff and landing. Since the props are on shorter flights, they spend a much higher percentage of their time in those phases of flight than cruse as compared to a larger jet, so statistics sometimes make them seem less safe.

What's up with the hating on Colorado!!! We have a great state, anyone who wines about going to Aspen is ridiculous. Although I think you are only complaining about the motion sickness, so I can understand that.
